Geological and ecological benthic surveys can be designed and undertaken by SOI Ltd. These include high resolution sub-sea scanning and grab-sampling for habitat mapping and assessment of cultural heritage or palaeo-landscapes interests. Habitat and bathymetric maps may provide additional information to explain the distributions of bird or marine mammals, of particular relevance to some EIA activities.
